Cocktails for a Crowd – summer book signings

June 26, 2013 § 5 Comments

This is my very first “Reblog” but there is a reason I’m doing it for this post (keep reading!) :D. As you all know, I’m a HUGE supporter of artists and appreciate that art is expressed in a variety of mediums; from paintings, to making whisky, to writing, to performing, to creating recipes, cooking and beyond. I wanted to write a shout-out post to an artist I respect, author Kara Newman, for her just-released book, “Cocktails For A Crowd.” But seeing as she’s a true writer AND wrote a blog post announcing the book and her summer book signing tour, I figured a reblog was more than appropriate this time. Oui?

I hope the formatting is ok (again, total reblog virgin here!) but please enjoy, support & share your comments as always below! I’m off to buy a new punch bowl!
Congrats Kara!

Well done WW! Kara is super cool. Been following her booze infused antics for quite some time. You two need to coordinate a book signing / Brenne tasting in Philly. You KNOW we’ll be there!

    • G-LO,
You are so full of awesome ideas!!! Love this one. Definitely goes into the idea box! (Ought to wait till I have some distribution down there before I open a bottle of Brenne on PA turf – sigh – you know the game!) 😉 Thanks for commenting! I always love your thoughts!

      • G-LO says:

Ah yes! The dreaded PA LCB. I’m sure they’re a great time to deal with. While I love Philly, PA as a whole leaves a little something to be desired. They do some backwards ass stuff, especially with regards to boozy treats. The good news is that they are at least trying to privatize. The bad news is, we’re still talking government at work.

As far as how I think, boozing and socializing are always a priority, especially with like minded and wonderful people such as yourself.

WW, I am so glad to see you giving a shout out to Kara. I always enjoy her books and she is an awesome person. Oh, and keep up the good work with Brenne!

    • Well hello Mr. Corsair!
Pleasure to have you drop me a note here! Thanks! Kara really is a special one – and you know me, I love anyone who kicks a** in their respective field(s) all while doing it without ego. It’s not always easy to find but Kara is definitely that – extremely knowledgeable and very kind & approachable.

Thanks for your Brenne-couragment! 😀 Back at you Darek, Corsair is KILLING IT! High-five!

Love hearing from you! Please comment here:
